About Us
Greater Harmony Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through performance, competition, and education. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women. Every member of Greater Harmony takes immense pride in her commitment and dedication to excel in the field of four-part harmony a cappella style. Our current membership is 65 women strong. Some of our members live right in Gibsonia while others come from Latrobe, Greensburg, Grove City, Beaver County, and as far away as Poland, Ohio. Our members are teachers, secretaries, professors, nurses, retirees, and many more. We would love to add you to our ranks. We rehearse every Tuesday night from 6:45 - 9:30; rehearsal location varies with the time of year. Each spring, Sweet Adelines all over the world hold Regional Competitions. This helps choruses to work towards continuous improvement. Greater Harmony competes each year and consistently places in the top three overall, and first or second in Division AA, which is for medium sized choruses.
